ABOUT US
Walking dogs isn’t about ticking boxes.
At Paws on Tour, we believe great dog walking is about time, space, and structure — not rushing dogs through short walks or overcrowded packs.
Dogs need enough time to explore, socialise appropriately, and decompress. When those needs are met, behaviour improves, stress reduces, and dogs come home calm and settled.
Why we do things differently
Paws on Tour was created after seeing too many dogs treated like numbers — rushed through short walks, packed into vans, and sent home still buzzing with energy.
We knew there was a better way.
A way that prioritised smaller groups, longer walks, and thoughtful handling — even if that meant walking fewer dogs each day.
Our non-negotiables
-
Small, stable packs
We limit packs to a maximum of eight dogs to maintain calm energy and safe interactions. -
Long, unhurried walks
Most walks run for around 90 minutes, giving dogs time to properly engage with their environment. -
Local routes only
We keep walks close to home to minimise van time and reduce stress — especially during Auckland summers. -
Safety over volume
We’d rather say no than compromise standards.
What you can expect when your dog walks with us
We focus on consistency and routine. Dogs are walked with compatible companions, handled calmly, and returned home settled rather than overstimulated.
We welcome both regular and casual clients and work with owners to find a routine that suits their dog — whether that’s morning, afternoon, or all-day adventures.
Are we the right fit?
Paws on Tour is a great fit for owners who want more than a quick walk — and who value calm, structured care over the cheapest option.
We may not be the right choice for dogs needing short potty walks or for owners looking for high-volume services.
If you want your dog properly exercised, mentally fulfilled, and returned home calm and content, you’ll likely feel at home with us.
Curious if we’re right for your dog?

In addition to our adventure walks, we also offer small-scale Farm Stay and One-on-One Training for dogs who need additional support or care.
